Here's the timeline so far:
Dec 12, 13, 14th~ I tested at home and got darker and darker tests! Really, could it be true?
Dec 15th (4 weeks)~ I had a blood test at the dr's, they confirmed the great news- we are pregnant!
Dec 17th~ I had another blood test and the hormone levels rose- it's really happening!
Dec 22nd (5 weeks)~ Derek and I both go to the dr for the first ultrasound. Dr confirms one little sac/black dot. We get home with our little picture which Derek studies and decides there is more than one black dot. Trying not to get my hopes up, I wait patiently for the next scan in a week.
Dec. 29th (6 weeks)~ I return to the dr for another ultrasound. I am hoping to see a healthy baby sac, maybe a little "fetal pole". Boy did we surprise the dr- there are two sacs and fetal poles! Derek had quite a shocking phone call when I got out of the dr's office.Dec 15th (4 weeks)~ I had a blood test at the dr's, they confirmed the great news- we are pregnant!

6 weeks~ Two babies! Oh my!
Jan 5th (7 weeks)~ Another ultrasound, this time Derek and I got to see the heartbeats- just these little flashes of light. The greatest sight in the world!
8 weeks
Jan 12th (8 weeks)~ This is the last appointment with our specialist. He has released me to my regular OB (tears!). Today we saw the head, little arm buds and those flickering heartbeats again. Both babies are measuring right on time. Ahh... a sigh of relief
Please continue your prayers as we are still very nervous about this pregnancy. We will continue to update and I promise not to load every post with so many pictures. Tomorrow marks our 10 week point- getting closer to the end of the first trimester. My next dr appt is Feb 11th and I hope to have another ultrasound to calm my worries. I have been blessed to not have much morning sickenss, nor has my belly started to grow. Mom Reyelts is busy supplying me with maternity clothes and Mom Ring has already stocked up on some baby gear for their house- you think they're excited!
Much love, Amy and Derek
