Tomorrow starts our 22nd week of this pregnancy. I continue to be amazed by how quickly the time seems to be passing. I have been very lucky that I have sailed through the first 21 weeks with little to no problems (aside from the early blood problems and the possible thyroid issues)- I never really had morning sickness and have been able to work as normal. This week was another story! I'm starting to get more uncomfortable as my belly seems to grow daily. I'm just not used to the extra me sticking out! I can see that I need to start slowing down and taking it easy. I worked in the yard a little on Thursday when it was so nice, but was quite sore on Friday then and spent most of the day on the couch. I really don't want to have to give up my gardening for the summer! Little doses I guess. At least Derek is a good weed puller and will help me out. The boys have been very active lately- movin' and groovin' a lot during the day. Derek is finally able to feel the move which he was so waiting for! Next weekend is my big scrap weekend so that will be a great chance for me to sit and relax while visiting with my friends. I plan on floating in the pool a bit too- Ahh!
I think the "nesting" has begun! I worked this week cleaning out the nursery as it was our catch-all-room. Derek was so kind to carry all the extra stuff to the basement for me. We have put the cribs together and are now on a hunt for a dresser that we can also use as a changing table. I'm dying to go get some paint samples and get thinking about painting the walls. I am anxious to see what Mom Ring can help me design for the room.

The Cribs are Done!
We spent last night putting the cribs together- what a piece of cake! The first was done in less than 45 min and then it was on to #2. We decided to put them together now and figure out how much space we have in the room for a dresser (we will double the dresser as a changer). I'm very pleased with our choice and can't wait to get the babies in their beds!

Daddy went shopping
Daddy bought his first outfits for the boys!

We went to Indiana this weekend to visit the Ring family for Easter. On Saturday Derek and I went shopping with his parents after dinner. On the clearance rack we found these two Colts outfits (okay, I've been told boys don't wear "outfits" but they're still babies so it works, right?). I asked Derek if he wanted to get them. Never have I seen such little hesitation when it comes to buying anything!

Snow- really?

Can you believe this is what we woke up to this morning! It's April! Now I know it's Chicago but geez! I sure hope it clears up before spring break starts on Friday.
Today is week 20 of the pregnancy! I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is going. I had my OB check up today. Lasted all of a few min- their lunch was delivered as I was in the waiting room so I know they were anxious to finish their morning patients. Nurse found the first heartbeat right away- strong in the 150's. The second baby was hiding... took her a little longer to find him. Finally found him hiding way down low- heartbeat also strong in the 150's. He must be the angel resting on my bladder all the time! The dr said that everything is looking good. My thyroid levels were going back down so hopefully that's on the mend. I gained 6 pounds this month (ugg!) She said we'll do the next appt in 4 weeks- good sign she's not wanting to see me more often yet. I'm really feeling the boys more and more now. I hope Derek is able to feel them soon, he's anxious for that.
We started talking about names this weekend. We both finished our lists and compared. I was excited to see that we had several names the same on the list. We hope to have it narrowed down to 4 when the boys come then will see what names fit them. No hints though- we're going to keep the names a secret till they come.
