Yesterday we spent the day starting our registries. The day went pretty much like this:
We entered Babies R Us very excited to start scanning. We quickly filled out the paperwork and Derek was handed "the gun". He was so excited to start scanning. Little did he know his wife wanted to try things out first. So into the cart went "the gun" while Derek pulled this stroller down and wrestled with that carseat and tried out this other stroller. Half an hour later we still have nothing scanned. We are, however, dripping with sweat as we try to not look stupid because we cannot manage to put the pack and play back together. Why do they not put the manuals with the tags so you know what to do? Alright, with the pack and play it was written in the bottom in VERY tiny print. But the stroller, AKA limo, had no such directions. By the time we leave BRU we have only scanned a few items because the rest they will have at Target. So we go through the whole signing up routine at Target- this time I put Derek in charge. Finally we master the kiosk and Derek is again handed "the gun". This time we are ready- skip the big stuff and head right for the odds and ends. Derek can hardly keep up with me- scan this soap, scan these 3 different kinds of pacifiers, scan these onesies- yes, I know they have little sheep on them, it can't all be sports! So we fly through Target and we now have 2 registries started! I still feel like there is so much we need to add (bedding once we pick a nursery theme, swings, bouncy seats, strollers, etc). Twins are going to need so much more than I really let myself believe!
