August Fun

Camden and Donovan have been enjoying having Daddy home from work.  Mommy is quite busy with Karsyn but Daddy is keeping them entertained with lots of time outside, including a trip to the zoo!  They also have had extra special time with their Grandparents.

Grandparents Galore!

Today Grandma and Grandpa Ring came to visit and they brought both sets of Camden, Donovan, and Karsyn's Great-Grandparents with them!  What a fun family day.  The boys sure loved all the attention, coins for their bank, and good food they brought.  Karsyn enjoyed being spoiled by all her Grandparents!  So excited that my kids have such a large extended family who love them and want to spend time with them.

Today I was able to sneak away with Camden and Donovan for a little Mommy/Son time at the park.  Daddy dropped us off for an hour of fun while he spent some time with Karsyn.  We had fun playing in the splash pad and climbing all over the playground.  I miss hanging with my little guys!

First Sponge Bath

This evening Karsyn had her first little sponge bath- she loved it!  She really enjoyed having her hair washed.  Such a girly girl!

It's a Girl!

We've grown to a family of 5!  On Monday, August 13, 2012 we welcomed Karsyn Marie to our family.  She was born via c-section at 12:48pm.  She came out screaming with a full head of hair!  She was 8lbs 2oz and 20inches long.  Mommy was so surprised to have a daughter, although Daddy had a feeling it would be a girl.  Karsyn was very healthy and was able to join Mommy in recovery within 15 min of surgery being completed.

Mommy was not feeling well after the surgery, and really through the rest of that day, so we waited on choosing her name until the following morning.  We had it narrowed down to 2 names but just didn't want to make a big decision like that when I could barely think straight.  We decided to name her Karsyn Marie- Karsyn was a name we both liked from the baby name books and Marie is Mommy/Grandma/Great-Grandma's middle name.

Karsyn stayed in Mommy's room for the duration of the hospital stay (which was Monday-Thursday afternoon).  The first night she slept a lot, Daddy had to set his alarm to make sure she ate every few hours.  The second night she was a little less sleepy and wanted to nurse most of the evening.  She had several visitors during her stay- Grandma and Grandpa Reyelts & Ring, Auntie Alli were present on her birth-day.  Mommy's friends Lisa and Colleen visited as well as Pastor Sarah from church.  The best visitors though were Karsyn's big brothers Camden and Donovan.  Daddy brought them to meet their new sister on Tuesday.  Camden was very excited to meet Karsyn, Donovan was a little shyer.  They both brought her a present they had picked out- a stuffed animal lamb from Camden and a blankie bear (pink monkey) from Donovan.  What a special experience to see the brothers with their new sister.
