Picture Time!

Enjoying some bubbles

Donovan's look SO matches his bib!

The boys are starting to try some "big kid foods"- here they are sampling an apple slice. They have also tried strawberries, cucumber, bread, and a little bit of pizza crust- all were a hit! Donovan and Camden love their highchairs- that means food! Donovan helping Mom make muffins Daddy got a jogging stroller for his birthday. The boys went for their first walk in it just yesterday. They look tired here after our long walk! I came down from putting my contacts in and found Camden like this!

Video Time!

I just let the camera roll on this one... it went on for a good 20 min! Make sure you turn up your volume, the camera was a little far from them so the sound isn't as strong.

We read a lot here! Camden loves to touch every page, Donovan just wants to listen to the story.

Every weekend Camden and Donovan learn new and exciting things! It's fun to see the changes, although it's sad to see them growing up so quickly. Both of them are discovering that shaking many of the toys will make them rattle or jingle. They are enjoying their walks outside now that the weather is nice. They watch the school buses go by, they spotted geese flying by, and love seeing the big kids zoom by on their bikes. Camden and Donovan are enjoying attending our twins playdates. They find fun new toys to play with and best of all- big kids to watch run and play. It's our turn to host next week. So far they have 6 other babies coming that are all around their age. It will be fun to watch them grow together.

Donovan has developed a love of music. Every time one of the musical toys starts to play, he bobs up and down like he's dancing to the beat. It's so funny! He also has figured out how to make the sounds on his exersaucer and their toy train by pushing the right buttons.

Camden is even closer to crawling. Yesterday he was getting up on his knees and starting to move his legs, but hasn't gotten the hang of also pushing up with his arms so he's not just face planting into the floor! He was spotted pushing himself backwards on his tummy using his arms.

We made a trip to Babies R Us this weekend to pick up a baby gate to get ready for the crawling babies. It's also about time to put together their play yard Grandma and Grandpa got them for Christmas. Seems like next Sunday will be spent baby proofing the house!

Weekend with friends

This weekend our friends the Walter's came to visit us from Indy. The boys had a fun time showing baby Claire all their toys. We even got to take our first walk of the year since the weather was pretty pleasant on Saturday. The babies went to bed nicely on Saturday night so the grown ups could get carry-out and play some games.

Donovan (7 months), Claire (5 months), Camden (7 months)

7 months old

Camden William- As you can see from the picture, Camden still has those gorgeous dimples when he smiles. Sure to be a lady killer in his future! Camden is really showing off his rambunctious personality lately. He is a loud baby- loves to shriek out of excitement or to get attention. He is starting to turn in circle on his belly so I'm sure crawling won't be far behind. It is easy to see that he's the one that will just dive right into things. Camden is right about 16lbs now. His night sleeping is slowly improving- will sleep through the night several nights out of the week. He loves his fruits and veggies, especially when we put fresh things in his mesh feeder (baby lollipops!)

Donovan Kyle has recently gone through a growth spurt. Just when I filled the closet with 6-9/9 month clothes for Camden, Donovan suddenly doesn't fit in all the 6 month stuff. So, it's back to sorting and weeding out clothes AGAIN! He continues to be our more reserved baby- he likes to scope out new situations and people before he is comfortable. He is such a happy baby lately; giggles and laughs away at everything. Camden must do some funny things because he always makes his brother laugh. Donovan is about 14 1/2 lbs now, catching up to his brother. He also loves to eat and gets very excited to hear the pop of the baby food jars. Donovan is not as happy as Camden about being on his belly but that frustration will get him moving soon too I bet.
