Playdate

Today the boys had a playdate with their cousin Matthew. Although he looks much older, Matthew is actually their little cousin! He was born 4 days after Camden and Donovan. They had a good time getting to know each other by kicking, hitting, and chewing on each other- all in good fun though. That's how babies explore their world!

Grandparents Weekend!

Grandpa Reyelts has Friday's off of work so he usually spends it with his boys. This Friday we had a lot of running around to do but we did squeeze in some cuddle time. Camden was having a good time listening to Grandpa tell him about his morning fishing adventure.

Donovan and Camden enjoyed their first outing with Grandma and Grandpa Ring. On Saturday we all met Daddy downtown Naperville after he finished some overtime at work. The boys went to their first restaurant, Mommy and Daddy's favorite pizza place- Lou Malnati's. Of course as soon as we sat down, both boys woke up and wanted to eat! After lunch, we all walked along the river walk since it was such a beautiful day.

Grandma Reyelts came over on Sunday for some play time. She caught Donovan in a really good mood- he was smiling and cooing away at her!

6 weeks old

Camden and Donovan are 6 weeks old now- hard to believe how fast the first few weeks have gone. Makes me very thankful I am able to spend the first year of their life home with them. I can't imagine having to go back to work in a few weeks! They are now sleeping in the nursery- sharing a crib so they can still snuggle up to each other. We took our first family trip to the zoo on Labor Day. The boys loved the stroller ride around the zoo- Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the day out too! Our days are still pretty much filled with eating, sleeping, and diapers but we are getting a bit more playtime in there too.

Camden William loves to be held upright so he can study your face. He's started to smile in response to others which is so fun to see. Camden will drink 3 1/2 oz of milk when given a bottle. At his 6 week check up he was 8lbs, 2.5oz. He's gained over 3 lbs since leaving the hospital! He is enjoying sleeping in his nursery, usually going 3 1/2-4 hours between feedings. Camden's favorite book right now is Clifford the Big Red Dog. His big accomplishment is that he rolled over for the first time tonight when playing with Aunt Nikki!

Donovan Kyle has discovered his smile too, as you can see in his picture. He loves to be talked to and enjoys playtime under his gym. When he gets a bottle he is sucking down 4 oz which has helped him bump up his weight to 8lbs, 5.5oz at his 6 week dr appt. He too has gained over 3 lbs since leaving the hospital. He will sleep 4- 4 1/2 hours between feedings at night which is making the days easier for Daddy at work! Donovan's favorite book right now is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
