First Trip to the Park

Tonight we took Camden and Donovan to the park for the first time. We weren't sure they were going to like the swings but as you can see, they were a hit!

The boys also played outside this afternoon while I cleaned the pond and puttered around the yard a little. Camden likes the grass, Donovan is NOT a fan!

"Brother, what's that on your head?"

That's one cool dude!

Stylin' Donovan- notice the drool blowing in the wind?!!!

"I'm SO done with this hat!"

Water Babies!

This weekend I went on my first weekend away. I gathered with my scrappin' friends in Aurora for a weekend of scrapbooking. Grandma and Grandpa Reyelts stayed with Camden and Donovan on Friday, then Derek took over for the rest of the weekend. He did such an awesome job with the boys. We are all so lucky to have such a great Daddy! On Saturday Derek brought the boys to the hotel for lunch and swimming. I wasn't sure how the first time in the pool would go but they LOVED it! We started in the kiddie pool- which was only 6 inches deep in one part. The boys splashed and splashed! Then we took them in the big pool to swim around with them. They squealed with excitement in there. Here's some pictures of their afternoon at the pool.

Baby Proofing Time!

Camden decided that while Mom was putting a load of laundry in, he was going to do an art project! Pray for us when this kid starts walking!

8 months old

Happy 8 months Camden and Donovan!
It is getting harder and harder to take these pictures of the boys. It went a little something like this... "Camden, don't touch the sign." Mom fixes the sign. "Camden leave the bear alone." Mom fixes the bear as Camden grabs the sign. "Camden don't play with the sign." Mom fixes the sign. "Camden look here. Derek, come and get Camden's attention please." Daddy jumps around just long enough for me to get one good shot. Then it's Donovan's turn. Switch bears, flatten and readjust the sign. Donovan bends over to chew on his toes. "Donovan, sit up." Mom ushers him back to sitting up. "Donovan, let me wipe your chin." Mom wipes his chin which only brings on more drool. Donovan bends over and attacks his toes. "Donovan, sit up." Mom ushers him back to sitting. Dad jumps around again.

Camden William now weighs 16lbs, 12oz. He is moving around the family room now- not crawling yet but scoots backwards, rolls side to side, and even army crawls to get to what he wants. Up until now we could eat dinner all together while he munched on fruit in his mesh feeder. Well now he wants nothing to do with it- he wants what is on our plate! His pediatrician said they can eat a lot of what we are eating, just in littler bites. He is getting very good at picking up small pieces of food and getting them to his mouth.

Donovan Kyle now weighs 15lbs, 15oz. He is moving to his belly more often and reaching and stretching for things. He also is managing to spin around while sitting on his bottom. Daddy is so excited to see that Donovan's favorite toys right now are balls! He knows which toy bin they are kept in and gets so excited when I dump it over for him. There is also a little ball in their bath toys that he ALWAYS has to have. Camden is not allow to have it!

The boys are having more "conversations" between each other while in their jumpers or in the playzone. I'm so excited to see their friendships growing already. We are looking forward to some fun things in their 8th month- Easter at Great G&G Boynton's, Mommy's first weekend away (okay, the boys probably aren't so excited about this but I sure am!), going with Mommy and Daddy to G&G Ring's for a weekend, hosting another playdate at our house for our twinkie friends, and walking in the March of Dimes "March for Babies" with the twin's club.

The whole PlayZone

Don't you just want to pinch Donovan's cheeks!

Grandpa Reyelts and the boys at Pilcher Park

Oops, we've been caught. Yes Mom, we will put all the toys back in the bin when we are done with them.

Off to School

On Wednesday we went to Cherry Hill (where Mommy taught) to watch the kindergartners spring show. The boys wore their snazzy school tee-shirts. Camden spent the show playing on his belly, spinning in circles, patting the gym floor to make his own music, and climbing on and off of Mom's lap. Donovan danced his little heart out and tried to sing along!

Here is Donovan dancing- I couldn't get a great angle so don't mind Camden's head in the way!

Food!

Camden and Donovan love their baby food, but they are even more interested in the foods we are eating. Donovan threw an all out fit the other day because I wouldn't share my Ritz Bits with him- sorry kid, they've got peanut butter in them! So we have been starting to give them some "real" food here and there.

Toast- Mmm!

And waffles!

Picture Time!

Sunday, March 28th- we went to church to hear the Easter Cantata then back to Grandma and Grandpa Reyelts house for lunch. The boys had fun playing with cousin Matthew.

We tried hard to get a pic of the three together but the boys had other ideas! Camden was fascinated by Matthew's hair, poor Matthew!

I brought along an Easter art project for the boys- marble painting!

Playtime!

I came downstairs to find Camden... well, being Camden! Needless to say, he wasn't so happy to have the bin on his head but couldn't figure out how to get it off his head!

Donovan playing with Baylie

Camden and Donovan are so well behaved in the car. They get so excited when we pull the car seats out!

The boys were excited to find an Easter package in the mail this week!

Look what our friend Baylie sent us!
