Playtime- 12 weeks old


This past weekend we took our first big road trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa Ring in Indiana. Grandma and Grandpa Reyelts came over Friday evening to take care of the boys while we packed. It was a lot of work packing for two babies! The boys rode great in the car and got a good night's sleep at their house.

Mommy's friend Lisa and her daughter Baylie came to visit last week. Donovan was in LOVE with Baylie- watched her dance around the house all day. Here she is reading his favorite book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom".

I attempted to take some fall pictures of the boys. Donovan had fun, Camden was not impressed! Next time Daddy will have to come and help!

Odds and Ends

The weather has turned chilly here so we are sticking close to home. I sure miss our afternoon walks! The boys are keeping me busy as usual. We've fallen into a nice routine- they sleep, eat, play, then start it all over again. They take a nice long morning nap and usually another long afternoon nap. This allows me to get a little rest in, a shower, or get some chores done around the house. They are really enjoying their playtime. It's amazing to sit back and listen to them "chatter" away as they play.

The boys are really aware of their parents now. Just tonight I was holding Donovan while we were getting ready for bedtime stories. Derek walked across the room and out the door with Camden and Donovan tracked him all the way out the door. Then he stared at the door waiting for him to come back. When he did, Donovan followed him all around the room with his eyes.

Donovan is sleeping through the night! He's been doing it every night for over a week now. He eats about 7pm and sleeps till 5 or 6am. Yea! Camden wakes just once at night for a little feeding but goes back to sleep very easily, thank goodness. I know how lucky we are that they are sleeping so well.

Donovan has spent ALL day chewing on his hand. His face is all scratched up from trying to find his mouth but he's getting better and better at it!




Camden's turn for the bumbo

2 month check up

Camden and Donovan had their 2 month check up this week. They were so brave as they got two shots this time. Camden weighed in at 9lbs 15.5oz and was 22 3/4 inches long. He grew 2 1/4 inches in 4 weeks! I wonder if he'll be tall like his Uncle Brandon? Donovan weighed 10lbs 1oz and was 22 1/4 inches long. The dr was very impressed with how strong the boys are- holding their heads up so well (all that tummy time is paying off!) and standing so well when you hold them upright. Made us so proud to hear that!
