10 months old

Happy 10 months old boys!
What a joy it's become to watch the boys play. Just today I was able to sit and read a book while the boys played for nearly an hour! They chased each other around, played peek-a-boo with the curtains, played with their toys, rolled a ball around, and just giggled at each other. I'm amazed at how much they enjoy each other already. What a blessing to have twins! I can't wait to watch their friendship grow as they get older.

Camden William continues to be a busy little guy! He hits the ground "running" every morning and doesn't stop even when we put him in bed at night. His newest trick is cruising around furniture- he loves to walk around the coffee table, the couch and the walls of the playzone. He is so brave, will often let go to grab onto something near, even if it's not quite near enough. Camden has a ferocious appetite and devourers just about anything- the only thing he doesn't enjoy are peas but will eat those if there is nothing else left.

Donovan Kyle is crawling! He loves his new found freedom as he can get to any toy he wants to play with. He is still our snuggly guy, especially when he first wakes up from a nap or has a full belly. He's trying hard to pull up to his feet. He has developed a love for carbs- picks the grilled cheese or pasta out of his bowl of food first before hitting the veggies. Donovan is quite the water baby- he is loving our little splash pool. We've also noticed he loves animals- he got so excited to see our neighbor's big white dog the other day, loved "petting" Aunt Alli's cat, and watched Cousin Matthew's big dog on our last visit to his house. No Donovan, we aren't getting a dog!
Some videos to enjoy!

twins outing

On Friday Mommy, Donovan and Camden went to a little free zoo in Aurora with some friends from our twins group. There were 6 other twin families there! We saw river otters swimming, an eagle, a lion snoozing in the sun, some wolves, crocodiles, and snakes eating their lunch.

After the zoo we walked to the park and the boys enjoyed their first picnic lunch. They were good eaters- had bread, peas and carrots, watermelon and some veggie crunchies.

A Day with Our Cousin

Today the boys went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate Uncle Glen's birthday. They had fun playing with cousin Matthew.

Everyone wants to turn the book page! At first Matthew wasn't so happy about everyone touching his stuff, but then he joined in the fun.

Matthew- show us your tongue!

We brought the splash pool but the water was so cold! Donovan sat in it for a long time splashing around. Matthew wanted nothing to do with that cold water. Camden tolerated it for a bit but then he was out of there too.

outdoor fun!

The boys had fun yesterday playing outside in the shade. We have a little slide that was handed down from another twin family that is just the right size for them.

Camden is so big!

Don't you spank him Donovan Kyle!

Summer is Here!

We got this great little splash pool for the boys to play in. The water was cold so we weren't sure how it would go but as you can see in the pictures and videos- they LOVED it!

Go Donovan!

After their bedtime feeding we put the boys down on the floor for a few minutes before taking them up to bed. I sat a little bit away from Donovan and shook his paci- couldn't believe he got up on his hands and knees and CRAWLED to it! He's been wanting to crawl so bad ever since Camden started getting around. Derek quickly grabbed the camera and he crawled again! He never really army crawled, skipped right to the real thing. Such a big boy!

Today's lunch

What's on the menu today boys?

Mmm... ground turkey sloppy joe with rice ( I know, weird combo but the rice made it a little thicker to pick up!).

Camden could not get enough! He shoveled it in by the fist-fulls!

Yes, that's rice in his nose

Donovan was a little unsure at first but then he decided it was good too!

And after- a bath in the sink! Notice my modest boys :)
