Come on Spring!
Although spring has not sprung, I still try to get the boys outside for a few minutes after lunch for some fresh air (and to encourage a good nap!). They have some fun new bikes that I found at a resale. Can't wait to get them out on the sidewalk with them.

Of course, even though there are 2 bikes they still have to fight over the same one!

Camden's learning to mow the lawn!

Ooo... a school bus!

Hooray- a few days of nice weather for us to get out in. Still not spring but it's feeling a little more like it. We discovered that the subdivision across from us has a great toddler play area. The boys had the playground to themselves and sure enjoyed it!
No waiting your turn for a swing!

Up the stairs...

... and down the slide they went. Over and over!

Watching the ducks on the pond.

Road Trip
This past weekend we loaded up the van and made a road trip down to Indianapolis to visit some friends. We haven't all been together since the kids were all babies! My how they have grown!

March 2011

Saturday morning we spent a little time at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. The boys had a great time, we hope to return again soon.
We visited the Dora exhibit first. The boys had fun greeting the life size character statues, feeding coins into the pirate ship, taking turns on the slide, and chasing the moving lights on the floor,

Then we moved on to the playscape- which was a huge inside play yard. They had a water area, a sandbox, climbing stuff and a construction site. You can guess what their favorite thing was- a real digger!

Camden could not get enough of this peddle car- he was determined to figure it out for himself!

After lunch out with our friends we headed home so the kids could nap. After naps Donovan and Camden each took turns having a "date" with Ava at the table. Camden needs to work on his dating skills as he was more interested in watching tv!

After dinner it was play time. 3 toddlers + 1 play room = a big mess!

Donovan was trying to get Ava to catch the ball

Guess Camden was trying to make up for his lack of attention during their date!

Cheese
One Picture... that's all we wanted.
One cute picture of the cousins together.
Not-Going-To-Happen!
Everybody on the bench, wait- one two... where is three?

Okay, again- one, two, three kids- Say Cheese!

That's one kid looking.
Camden, Donovan- can we at least get two out of three?

Okay, now Donovan's looking, but shoot, we lost Matthew.

No, don't smack your cousin!

Ugg- it's a fail!

We'll have to settle for the- everyone strapped in, it's the end of the trip, we're all past our naptime and everyone is cranky shot!
Enjoy it Grandma and Grandpa, we tried!

First Zoo Day!
Today was our first zoo trip of the season. I can't wait till the boys understand when I say "we're going to the zoo"- you know, when they get all excited and run for the door. Or at least let you get them dressed without a fight because they can't wait to go to the zoo. Oh well, soon enough!
We met up with some twin friends of ours at the beginning of our adventure. First we visited the bears. This was where I learned that our trips to the zoo this season will not be as smooth as last year- sitting in the stroller most of the time just isn't going to cut it! They would rather climb on the rails and run around the exhibits. Better wear my running shoes!
*Watching Hudson the polar bear pacing in the back of his yard

Next we visited the Children's Zoo. After ditching the stroller at the entrance, we headed right into the petting area.
*Donovan loved petting the goats- right on the nose of course

*Camden on the other hand wasn't so sure about brushing this funny animal

We also visited the chicken house (till the rooster scared the daylights out of Camden- gets him EVERY time), and saw a donkey, farm dogs, very noisy sheep, cows, and miniature pony.
*Saying hi to the cows

What a surprise to us- Uncle Glen, Aunt Amanda, and Cousin Matthew were spending the day at the zoo too so we joined up with them after lunch and headed to the Hamill Play Zoo. The 3 cousins had fun running all over the place. Ahh... now 3 adults to corral 3 kids. Perfect!
*Playing in the animal hospital

* 3 little monkeys... I mean 3 little cousins

*Matthew trying on a lemur costume while Camden and Donovan watch

*"catch me Uncle Glen" says Cam

* watching the seals sunning themselves

3 tired boys in no mood for any more pictures!
