Vacation is drawing to a close- it's our last park day. We decided that we HAD to go back to Magic Kingdom one more time.
We arrived early enough to catch the opening show again then it was a mad dash for Adventureland. Surprisingly it was very empty when we got over there so we were able to hop right on the Jungle Cruise. A little hokey with the fake animals and scripted tour guide (corny jokes and all) but the kids loved it.
After the cruise we took off on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, twice!
We then walked over to Tomorrowland. We walked around a bit then noticed this rocket ride WAY up at the top. It didn't look so bad from below and we asked if there was a height limit- "no, it's like the dumbo ride but up high". Well, why not we thought. Oh my!!! Not a good choice. Camden and Donovan seemed to do okay on it but Mom was not a happy camper- too fast and to high for me!
After that traumatic ride we decided to take it easy on the Transit Authority- a tram that circles Tomorrowland. The kids loved riding "the train" so us moms stayed on with them for an extra loop while the dads took a quick trip on Space Mountain. The highlight of the kids (and Dad's day) came next: The Tomorrowland Indy Speedway! Camden and Donovan jumped into a little indy car with Daddy for a spin around the track. Of course the tears flowed when it was time to get off so back in line they went. Daddy didn't mind at all.
Oh yea, and one more twirl on the Dumbo ride!
After a picnic lunch it was back across the Seven Seas Lagoon on the ferry for a much needed nap.
Our return trip after naps was spent re-riding a few of the rides (most had such long waits at this point we didn't get to do much). Amy's friend Christy happened to be in the Disney area so she met us there after her flight in and spent the evening with us at the park. We ate dinner at a hot dog place then used our fastpasses to visit Mickey and Minnie one more time. This was quite a set up- M&M were in a little room and they only let two families in at a time- very exclusive!
Our final Disney moment- the light parade. We'll miss you Disney!
Tinker Bell- who blew kisses right to Camden and Donovan!
My tired guys
