Baby Time!

It's finally here- baby time!  I am 39 weeks (tomorrow) and that's the day we get to meet our new little bundle of joy.  I am a mix of emotions today as I prepare for tomorrow.  I'm a ball of nervous energy- so much to do at home to make sure the boys are set and ready for the week with Grandma Reyelts.  Although I have yet to finish packing my own hospital bag!

I had my last check-up at the Dr on Wednesday.  Everything looked good, no contractions or anything so she didn't even need to check that I was/wasn't dilated.  Unfortunately my Dr is on vacation so I will be having another Dr deliver the baby but that's okay.  The surgery isn't scheduled until noon so that's a long morning of not eating/drinking (since midnight actually) and just waiting around.  I sure hope we don't get pushed back any later.  Just can't wait to meet our new son or daughter!

And just for comparison-  the day before the boys were born (36 1/2 weeks)

Fire Station Visit

Today the New Lenox Fire Department had an open house at their big station.  The boys of course were in heaven with all the fire equipment to check out!  They rode the fire trucks 3 times!

 It's our turn!

They even had lunch for us!  How fun to eat in the fire house!

36 weeks!

It's almost time for Baby Ring to arrive!  36 weeks this week!  I am so anxious to meet this little one

Dr check up this week- BP was good, I was a little low on my water intake so I need to be more mindful of drinking my water.  My feet have started swelling but right now it seems to just be from the heat/humidity and not staying off my feet enough.  Like that's going to happen with Camden and Donovan to chase after!  We are still looking at August 13th at noon for our c-section date.  This baby continues to be super active- lots of tumbling and soccer going on in there!  This was a special milestone because at my 36 week check up with the boys I was sent to the hospital for pre-eclamsia and returned home a week later with two little boys!

The nursery is finally looking like a nursery!  We had a major construction project going on for about a week and a half- installing a closet, closing off the french doors, and moving a light switch.

Knocking out the wall/framing the closet between our room and the study/soon-to-be nursery
The drywall is up- it's a closet!
The drywall is up on our side of the wall too
All painted!  Who knew that wasn't there to start with!
No more glass french doors.  This baby gets some privacy.
 A completed closet

Once the construction was done Derek and his Mom were able to paint the ceiling and walls.  Then Derek and his Dad assembled a very complicated dresser.  I got to help with the easy crib assembly- I picked the right task!  It's pretty plain right now but once the baby arrives and we know the gender we will use more paint and some fun fabrics as accents the room.  We've got some beautiful pinks/purples and blues/yellows picked out already.  Now we just need a baby!

Lake 5

Today we made the drive up to the Milwaukee area to visit Derek's brother's lake house.  What a gorgeous day we had!  The boys had a fantastic time with their Uncle Brandon, Auntie Alli, and Cousin Natalie.  They swam in the lake, went for paddle boat rides, fed the blue gill, and played with Natalie.  What a great little taste of summer!

Supersized Playdate

Today we had a playdate with some of our very best twin friends.  Amazingly we got all 7 families together for the morning.  We had a blast in (the other) Camden and Ayleen's backyard... until a big storm rolled in.

Here is our little "playgroup" in June of 2012- 2 years ago!

Here we are now!

I have fond memories of my Mom taking my brother and I to "Mom's Club" when we were little.  I'm excited for my kids to have the same experience.  I feel so lucky to have all these fabulous twin Mom's as my friends and that my kids have made so many wonderful friends too.
