Bring on the Fun!

I found a fantastic blog/facebook group that is inspiring me to plan more discovery/activities with the boys. ( http://playathomemom3.blogspot.com/ ) Grandpa Reyelts is busy working on a sensory table for in the basement this winter, but right now we are taking advantage of getting messy outside. Even Camden, my neat freak, is enjoying some of the activities. My next project is to make a light box like they show in the blog.

On this particular day we gathered a few simple materials- buckets, sponges and a variety of paint brushes. Outside, the boys spent the afternoon "painting" their climber/slide. Even more fun was dumping out the buckets so Mommy would let them refill them with the hose!

Another fun find- these window markers!

Today the boys painted (water and food coloring) coffee filters, which we later made into butterflies. They had a lot of fun with their little cups of colored water.

Cam told me his looked like an elephant

I had them pour their leftover water into a jug- Donovan's favorite thing to do... pour water!

Camden favors the "dump" method over careful pouring

Donovan wanted to play with all the painting cups. So he spent a good 20 min pouring blue water back and forth, barely spilling a drop.

Camden gave it a shot but didn't have the patience to carefully pour the water- as you can see by his tray of blue water!
